WE NEED YOUR HELP!
***THIS IS A FANTASTIC NEWS ALERT***
Today is Giving Tuesday and the International Day of People with Disability - AND a great day for our crowdfunding campaign. We've just found out that the BIG GIVE will be doubling all donations received up until December 10th. This means that all of you that have a reward where a portion goes to charity will see it DOUBLED. In short... Our mission to make an amazing film about Parkinsons disease and raise money for research all at the same time is going bloody great! We need to capitalise on this great news and try to raise as much for charity as we can and we want to enlist your help to do that, so please go out there today and tell everyone you can about our project!
If any of you have the time to send out emails, messages etc to people you know, you can copy and paste the below:
You may or may not be aware but recently I've been part of a crowdfunding campaign for an upcoming short film called Ecstasy, which will tell a story about living with Parkinson’s disease in a positive and upbeat light.
Ecstasy is a comedy about a disabled father and his son's quest to buy drugs so the Dad can dance with his wife at her birthday party. What could possibly go wrong? And it's based upon the real life revelation that ecstasy can temporarily cure people living with Parkinson’s
The writer and director Grant is making this movie as his father, Bob has had Parkinson's disease for over 20 years and he has put a whole crowdfunding campaign together to raise money for the budget, AND a percentage of that will go to charity. https://greenlit.fund/project/ecstasy
Now for the amazing bit... We've just found out that all the money that will be donated will get doubled as a result of the BIG GIVE campaign but TIME IS RUNNING OUT. He's raised over £9.5k so far with £635 of that for charity, and that will get doubled to £1270. But we're trying to raise as much as possible and we have 3 DAYS LEFT.
The whole project is amazing, he’s got some very talented people on board; actors from the ITV show Benidorm and the music supervisors of Kevin and Perry go large! According to Grant the film will make you laugh, cry and rave in your seat! So if you want to see an amazing film next year and support Parkinson's disease research all at once then you can here: https://greenlit.fund/project/ecstasy
