Boudica

I have always been fascinated by the legends and heroes that shape our past; ordinary men and women doing extraordinary things. Boudica is one such hero. Mother, leader, warrior, we all know how her story ends, but what we don't know, is how it began. This is a story I want to tell.

I have always been fascinated by the legends and heroes that shape our past; ordinary men and women doing extraordinary things. Boudica is one such hero. Mother, leader, warrior, we all know how her story ends, but what we don't know, is how it began. This is a story I want to tell.

We will meet a young woman who's childhood is shattered when her family are murdered. She swears an oath to avenge their deaths and travels into a dark and dangerous world.  She will encounter some extraordinary characters and together, they embark on a journey that will leave them all forever changed.  Our female lead will have to find the courage to step into her own power and learn that sometimes the greatest challenge, is simply finding the courage to be who you are.

I am an actress, writer and producer and I have assembled an incredible cast and crew to bring this project to life.  Every member of our crew has many  years of experience in quality film making. With such a beautiful story and an experienced team, we know we have something special. Investors and production companies are already interested and now we need to produce a proof of concept trailer, that will enable us to secure the funding we need for the full feature. We have put together a compelling story board for the trailer and we have already secured our stunning locations, among them, some gorgeous ancient woodland and a genuined replica iron age village. We have also secured equipment, costumes, weapons and transport. In short, everything is in place for this trailer shoot; now we just need YOUR help to make it happen .

JOIN US - AND WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

In order to create the kind of visually beautiful cinematography the trailer for this project requires we need to raise a budget of £6000.  Every penny will be going towards costumes, weapons, insurance, equipment, and locations. To produce something true to the period we cannot cut corners and our production values need to be high.

By contributing to this project you will not only be helping us get this trailer made, you will also be joining us on an incredible journey. The journey starts here, with the making of the trailer and it continues on with the acquiring of funds for the full film. We invite you to join us on this adventure and be a part of something extraordinary.

    Image

Your contribution will also be rewarded with some immediate perks. Why not come along and join us on set? You could also choose signed autographs from some of our names actors (casting to be announced soon!), free film festival tickets,  a VIP invite to our screening or even a credit as a producer or executive producer. Also of course everyone who contributes will get a personal thank you and shout out on social media.

Our bare minimum budget of £6000 will help cover the cost of:

    • Hiring kit - we'll be shooting on Black Magic Ursa 4K, plus we'll need lighting and a generator
    • The hire of a props, weapons and costumes.  We will be using a costume designer who will design a look for each and every character.
    • Locations. We want to shoot in a reconstructed iron age roundhouse. This location is essential to our story but it comes at a significant cost.
    • Props to dress the set - we have a strong visual tone for the shoot which will need some specific props to add authentic character, depth and texture.
    • Insurance
    • Travel expenses for cast and crew as well as no frills accomodation for some of our crew. We will be filming very early and the days will be long. The closer we are to our locations the best use we can make of our shoot days.
    • Catering - this will be a very intense and tiring shoot as we want to get everything in the can over 3 days. We want to be able to feed our team adequately and keep them refreshed and energised

    THE IMPACT

Historical films and TV series are cinematic experiences that have widespread appeal. There is something about epic historical tales that captures the imagnation. Infuse these incredible adventures with approachable and realistic characters, and you have a story that is relatable and exciting to any modern day audience. While all good film making should inspire and uplift, this genre particularly has the ability to literally transport an audience to another place and another time. There is nothing more exciting than breathing new life into characters that have lived in the collective conciousness for thousands of years.

By joining us on this journey your impact will be more far reaching than just the making of an incredible trailer. We not only hope to go on to produce the full film, but we also have a sequel which is already written and ready to go. In short, this concept has franchise potential and we believe we have created a world that, with your help, will entertain and uplift a widespread audience.

We have a proven (and award-winning) track record in ONLY delivering film to a high cinematic quality. We do not take your support lightly.
